The mad story behind the house

Even before we welcomed visitors into our Shoreditch home in 2018, we'd been creating wild immersive experiences with big sounds, visuals and games from as early as our over-the-top college dorm room parties. We met and bonded over our love of gaming and raving, and just had a knack for creating a vibe when hosting a party of any size. Eventually we hosted more sophisticated spaces, like warehouse raves and actually permitted pop-up street parties.

After trying one-off events, we wanted to set up a place we could really call home. The idea for the original Mad House just spiralled naturally, and we only included features we'd want ourselves. As the visual, A/R and haptic technology grew — especially in recent years — so did our activities and games, plus the key light and sound design. Before we knew it, we were drawing plans for Brooklyn and LA.
